If you asked me to name my top 3 all time favourite illustrators, Anke Weckmann would definitely be one of them. Her style is sweetly quirky, whimsical and truly unique. I have loved her drawings for as long as I can remember and when I got married last year, I knew I just had to ask her if she could do a custom illustration for my wedding invitation... i was ecstatic she said yes! And as I had imagined, it was very special and just perfect. Anyway, I was so excited to see her illustration on the cover of the 2010 Frankie calendar. Frankie being the only ever magazine that I have collected since issue one. Can there be a more perfect combination?! Nope, I didn't think so!
