perfect sunny space

I first read about this french urban pad in realliving (oct'09) and just fell in love with the space... lots of white, high ceilings, concrete floors and the most perfect courtyard terrace. my little igloo

... how great is this little dome shaped desk? Ohhh and the white and blonde timber combo!!! Reminds me of those quiet study cubicles in the library, only hundred times more aesthetically pleasing. I would be inspired to get a lot of studying or creative thinking done in this. via roombysofie

UPDATE 25/11 - just found out this desk is a prototype by danish designer gamfratesi! they call it the 'rewrite'.

cooling off

This pigeon was spotted cooling off in a puddle of water on brunswick st, fitzroy. It was having a little bathe in there, not having a care in the world who was watching. It was, afterall, 33 hot degrees! Lunch at the little creatures dining hall was a nice experience too. They do really good pizzas. I must go back and have their mushroom/salami/mozzarella cheese pizza again.. just delish!

There's nothing quite like the clean and fresh feel of bright white walls and uncomplicated designs. I'm particularly drawn to the last space with small pops of colour amongst the white... so lovely and refreshing.
